The “ART of FA” Contest, featured as a distinctive event within the IPFA conference. It offers an intriguing platform to exhibit Failure Analysis outcomes that bear remarkable similarities to real-life scenarios. This contest not only serves as a source of entertainment for Failure Analysis Engineers but also presents them with the opportunity to win enticing prizes!

Contest is open to PHOTO and VIDEO submissions for this year.

Rules and Regulations

  1. The Art or FA competition is open to all FA and Reliability community. Incomplete submission or wrong formats will be disqualified.
  2. Each contestant is entitled to ONE submission (Photo or Video) only. Multiple submissions by the same contestant are not allowed.
  3. The image/video may be obtained using any failure analysis technique and should be in its original form. It must not be digitally altered by a graphic software.
  4. The image/video must not contain any embedded information and must be in its original resolution. Submitted file size shall not exceed 32 MB for photo category or 100MB for video category. Reference image is not required for submission.
  5. The best 10 submissions for each category will be selected by the IPFA organizing committee to enter for the final voting during the IPFA 2024 event on 15-18 July 2024.  The main judging criterion would be the aesthetic aspect of the image/video rather than its technical quality to be in line with the theme of the contest. Nevertheless, the submission must be related to failure analysis works.
  6. The contestant is responsible for obtaining, from the relevant authority, the permission or agreement needed for the disclosure of the image/video. IPFA shall assume that upon the submission of a particular image/video, such clearance would have already been obtained.
  7. IPFA will have the right to exhibit, reproduce and distribute in any or all of the entries. The entries will not be returned to the submitters. If you agree with the terms, you may upload your file by clicking the link provided below.
  8. Winners will be announced on the last day of the conference and prize money will be wire transferred to the winners after getting the relevant banking info from the winners. The 2024 IPFA organizer will contact the winners through email to process the wire transfer.
